The Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU) has joined other Nigerian workers to participate in the indefinite industrial action as it's lead by the Nigerian Labour Congress.
The union in a statement through the union national president, Prof Emmanuel Osodeke, directed all its members in various universities to mobilise members under their watch for compliance.
According to Osodeke, NLC has declared indefinite strike action beginning from Monday, 3rd June, 2024 as a result of the failure of government to conclude renegotiation of minimum wage for Nigerian workers.
