The House of Representatives committe on public petitions and ethics has resolved to halt and step down all appropriations, approval and budget defence by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs over failure to appear and defend the petition of an unfair treatment against Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal of One Love Foundation by the Chinese government in China.
After the Dr. Eholor, the Father of Nigerian Students-FoNS shared experience he got from his business trip in China, he explained how he was maltreated and insulted by the Chinese in the bank, how he was stranded when he was unable to get his money in the bank.
"While in China, it happened that I needed funds which I asked a son to send me fund, he sent thirteen thousand dollars but to be candid I had issues getting the money as they have tagged all Nigerians as people who is involved in money laundering and this was what I got from them, I felt offended, I could not get the thirteen thousand and I asked what was my offense which they replied that Nigerians cannot be trusted, that all Nigerians are into money laundering, they blacklisted all Nigerians." FoNS said
Therefore, Eholor took it up in writing to the House of Representatives (Green Chamber) Oct 3rd 2023 that the House should 'Urgently investigate why Nigerians are labeled as money launderers by Chinese authority.
The case is pressed by the Human Rights Lawyer, Samuel Ihensekhien (Jnr.) who has emphasized on the Minister's absence before the House.
