Emilokan: We are not in Yoruba Nation, Nigerians should be treated equal by Ultimate Equal

When Asiwaju Bola Tinubu made that famous ‘Emilokan’ remark in his campaign speech, it was to a small audience in Ogun State. But the import of that remark reverberated throughout the country within hours. It was in that speech that he referred to a sitting Governor as ‘eleyi’ meaning ‘this one’ literally in Yoruba.

Vanguardngr.com reported that "The small audience in Ogun State was shocked into silence, not just at the insulting words, but at what was unfolding – the seeming melt-down of a man who saw his life ambition slipping away. He uttered in public, and in the full view of the media, what anybody seeking public office, least of all the highest public office in the land, should not voice beyond the privacy of his bedroom chambers and to the most private of his associates."

Moreover, just like Muhammad Buhari led administration as the President in Nigeria, most of his appointees were northerners, although, Bola Tinubu also told us during his campaign that he will 'start from where Buhari stopped' and he is fulfilling his promise by appointing the South Westerners alone into power.

Speaking with Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal, the Father of Nigerian Students-FONS and the Global President of One Love Foundation, in his reaction to the appointment of the South Westerners into public offices, he said "Truly most of the appointment in the present administration were given to the Yorubas, are we in Yoruba Nation? Apologies to my Yoruba friends but to be candid, appointments have to be balanced.

"The president should please do the right thing, this should not be 'Emilokan' syndrome, we have people from different parts of the country that are intelligent, the likes of Adams Oshiomole and Nyesom Wike are not doing us favour as well as Festus Keyamo, they do not bother about people just because they got all they wanted.

"I am not saying his employers are not capable but we have many capable ones everywhere too, therefore right things should be done, we should not be disappointed if the President Tinubu appoint MC Oluomo into a public office, nothing is impossible"
