A Twitter user identified as @Mahmoud_Damisi has raised the alarm over a yet-to-be-identified phone thief said to be operating in the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) area for over two years.
He explained that all attempts to apprehend the phone thief had been unsuccessful, saying that the thief has a unique way of stealing phones from victims.
@Mahmoud_Damisi said the thief after stealing phones would wait for his victims to call, and demand a ransom before releasing the device to the owner.
He said, “This guy has been terrorising FUNAAB for more than 2 years now. I can’t explain how he does his theft, but I can assure you that even if you lock your door, you are still not safe from his kleptomaniacal range.
“This guy is uniquely different from other thieves. After seizing your phone away from you, he’d wait for you to call and move the conversation to Telegram for negotiation. Upon reaching a bargain, he would map a location for you to pick your phone. Bobo yi yawerey gaaaan!!!!!!.” Mahmoud wrote on Twitter.”
