President of One Love Foundation, Chief Dr Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equals has called on the Nigeria President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to arrest all public officers who were reported to have amassed Nigeria's wealth.
He said "it is pitiful for individual to have such huge amount of money in their custody whereas the public is in the mercy of surviving the effect of lack of infrastructures".
He further mentioned that, Ajah in Lagos has been battling with the issue of poor basic amenities such as drainage system, good road and Electricity.
He said " the money you people are stealing can be recovered and channel them to building of infrastructures in the country"
Speaking further, Chief Eholor stated that government should allocate resources to eradicate poverty in every sector.
" It is a constitutional requirement for the government to make policies and allocate resources to eradicate poverty in every segment of the society. That is within the same purview that he gives the revenue mobilisation and allocation commission the power to increase wages with inflation as a benchmark" He said.
"You cannot take one without the other, you have to take both. Even if you are going to increase the wages of political appointees and judges, public officers as a result of inflation, you also have to increase the percentage that is allocated to eradication of poverty in every sector"
According to him, more than 78% of Nigerians live in poverty. Therefore, allocation of resources must be weighted towards the eradication of poverty.
