The Democracy Observer General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and President, One Love Foundation, Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor has on Wednesday filed a lawsuit against Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu through Barrister Austin Akahomen, demanding accurate explanations on the thirteen percent oil derivation revenue amounting to Seventeen billion, twelve million naira given to the State.
The fund was earlier allocated to the State unknown to it's citizens. However, a serving Governor in person of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, recently disclosed that President Buhari has paid monies owed the Niger Delta including Edo State and others.
The Suit is a two page document which reads:
In an interview with journalists Dr. Patrick openly declared the questions bothering him as he bemoaned the level of secrecy in this administration. In his remarks : “ why is Governor Obaseki not addressing the Edo people directly ? This is a serious allegation, why did the Commissioner for Finance not include it in the budget? Why was it kept a secret Until now?
“Why are they full of secrets? Why do they accuse Oshiomole now? If he was guilty of mis -managing funds, they should have done that a long time ago. They left me with no alternative than to take them to court and we are hoping that the court ,will be able to expose them further more on this massive looting” he said.
