AAU Increases the Price of Admission Forms, Announces 140 as Minimum Cut off mark.

Ambrose Alli University in Edo state Nigeria, on Friday, announced the commencement of Sales for the 2022/2023 Academic session undergraduate admission form. This information was made known through a Press release issued by the management.

The press release showed that the University’s admission board has approved 140  as the minimum cut off mark and also increased the price of purchase from 2,200 naira to the sum of 12,200 naira.

In reacting to this a post on social media showed a user lamenting. The post read

“It's really a pity to see that AAU reduced its cut off mark to 140, and post UTME form is now 12000 naira. Don't you think Professor Osodeke has been vindicated for calling state universities "Quacks"? Because some of these Governors are just rogues.

It's so ridiculous that in a bid to collect money from students a Citadel of Learning will descend so low and lower her standards. 140 benchmark to enter a University is not only embarrassing but appalling.

What kind of Graduates is such a university going to be producing. A university that has metamorphosed from a Citadel of Learning to a trade centre.

This recent development is poor and self-centered leadership from the Governing Council and The State Government. A sad end.

Ambrose Alli University is dead and gone, we should prepare for it's funeral.”

We recall that Former Kaduna Central Senator and Human Rights Activist, Shehu Sani recently, predicted the future outcome of State Universities withdrawing away from ASUU due to the prolonged strike.

According to Sani: "If a state university decides to breakaway from ASUU strike, someday they will be persecuted by their state governors and there will be no ASUU to champion their cause.

"Academics in state universities should be careful not to betray their unions and fall into the hands of governors who can turn against them anytime...

Although we are currently investigating the issue, All Campus Show questions the School's management on the reduction of cut-off marks and Condemns the increment in the sale of the forms. Also, we affirm that the likes of such increments is a fulfillment of Professor Sani’s Prophecy.
